Brake shoes 160x35 ALKO complete kit 2 wheels with lifetime warranty for trailer
Brake shoes 160x35 for brake systems from ALKO on braked trailers. The complete kit contains brake shoes, adjustment components, expanders, cams, springs and mounting components for two wheels and is used during service or replacement of worn brake components in drum brakes. The kit fits ALKO and is designed for trailers with ALKO wheel brake 160x35. Always check brake type and dimension to ensure correct fit.
VALERYD X-Tech brake shoes are developed using a unique technology where the friction lining is pressed into the brake shoe under very high pressure and temperature. The lining penetrates X-shaped grooves in the steel, creating a very strong mechanical bond between the friction lining and the brake shoe. This construction provides high wear resistance, stable braking performance and long service life even under heavy load.
Thanks to the X-Tech technology, VALERYD offers a lifetime warranty against the brake lining separating from the brake shoe. The warranty does not cover normal wear of the friction lining.
Brake shoes in drum brake on trailer
In the trailer drum brake, the brake shoes are pressed against the inside of the brake drum when the braking system is activated. The friction between the brake lining and the brake drum creates braking force which reduces the wheel rotation. During service, brake shoes and springs should be inspected regularly and worn components replaced to ensure correct brake system function.
