VALERYD X-Tech brake shoes are manufactured using a method where the brake lining is pressed under high pressure and temperature into X-shaped channels in the steel backing plate. Mechanical anchoring replaces adhesive. The result is high wear resistance and stable braking force.

Brake shoes in drum brake on trailer
The brake shoes sit in the drum brake and are pressed against the inner surface of the brake drum when the brakes are activated. Friction creates braking force that reduces wheel rotation. Check lining thickness regularly and replace when it reaches the minimum limit. Always replace in pairs on the same axle. Check spring function when replacing to ensure correct pressure on the new shoes.
